The Florida Petroleum Marketers Association (FPMA) is pleased to announce the availability of a mobile form to assist owners/operators of underground storage tanks (USTs) with the completion of the federal and state required 30-Day UST Visual Walkthrough Inspection.

The FPMA 30-Day UST Visual Walkthrough Inspection Form (FPMA UST Walkthrough Form) was created to comply with both the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) UST requirements. The FPMA UST Walkthrough Form can be used in lieu of the FDEP recommended (but not required) PEI Recommended Practice 900-21 (RP900) Appendix A-1 Monthly UST Inspection Checklist and Appendix A-4 Optional Periodic UST Inspection Checklists.  In order to comply with both FDEP and USEPA UST regulations, both of these PEI checklists would need to be completed within 30 days of the previous inspection.

In addition to providing a more streamlined inspection process, the completed FPMA UST Walkthrough Form is stored on an online platform with a dashboard which allows users to review and download inspection reports.  As the FDEP requires 3 years of inspections to be saved and made available, the platform provides a secure process for meeting this compliance requirement. 

This exciting new offering is part of the goal of expanding FPMA’s educational programs to assist our membership with understanding and meeting their compliance requirements.

FPMA has contracted with CSTAT Mobile Data Collection (CSTAT) to create and provide technology support for the FPMA UST Walkthrough Form. CSTAT (http://www.cstatmobile.com) has collaborated with XForms (http://www.xform.co) to provide the mobile technology/platform.
